Matthew is a versatile performer, passionate about engaging with as much music as possible.
The below gives a flavour of the possibilities, but Matthew is always happy to discuss any ideas you have and to agree fees accordingly.
Solo Piano
Matthew has an extensive repertoire covering every period from Bach and Scarlatti to Berg and Hindemith, and is also very happy to add new repertoire as required.
Accompanying
A highly experienced accompanist and repetiteur, Matthew has worked with many instrumentalists, singers and choirs across a wide range of repertoire and styles, and is accompanist to The Kitchen Chorus. Matthew is always happy to explore new music as required.
Concerto Soloist
Matthew has performed concertos including Shostakovich 2nd, Beethoven 'Emperor', Rachmaninoff 2nd and the Grieg, as well as the Litolf 'Scherzo Fantastique'. Any opportunity to revisit these works or to perform other concertos is welcomed.
Chamber Music
Matthew loves working with other musicians and is open to exploring any chamber repertoire, from music for 4 hands to piano quintets and other formations. If you have a project in mind get in touch to discuss further.
